British singer/songwriter Michael Kiwanuka is known for his blues-folk sound and soulful voice. His debut album, Home Again, gained widespread critical acclaim from journalists and fellow musicians alike. In 2012, he won the BBC’s Sound of 2012 and was nominated for a Mercury Prize. He has been compared to Curtis Mayfield, Van Morrison, and Terry Callier and teamed up with Jack White, Dan Auerbach, Karen O and Little Simz. His second studio album, Love & Hate, was produced by Danger Mouse and Inflo and was nominated for Mercury Prize in 2016. In 2018, Kiwanuka was the featured artist of "On My Knees" by UNKLE, which was composed for the album "Music Inspired by the Film Roma", released after Netflix’s Oscar winning film "Roma."
